Sylvania LCD turns white as it warms.

Hello peps!
I find myself with yet another puzzle in front of me. I got this "Sylvania lc407ss1" that seems to work. But the screen goes white wherever the image shows white. For instance the display channel number summons a white bar over time. If I open the menu it also goes white. Seems like the longer the display is on the faster it turns white. If the screen shows no image it slowly turns black again. Any ideas what is wrong with it? Is it worth the trouble? https://ibb.co/kxupon
