Symphonic WF92130	Can't Post

I'm having trouble finding a fault on this TV/VCR combo SYMPHONIC WF02130, It starts up runs good for about 15 seconds then turns itself off, checked all components and seem to be ok. anybody experienced this problem? Thanks in advance.

Check the solder joints on the IR diode and the Take up and supply photo diode's.

Thanks Guy i found the fault. it's a tape load switch that would come off it's place, i was able to put it in place, and took out the two main belts so the vcr is disable. no need for VCR Thanks.

Will the set still work with the belts off? I mean when you power the combo on the VCR section goes into mode and the capstan might spin, if there are no belts then no tention thus it will keep spinning and the set might power off. I would fix the problem and if you dont need the VCR part just dont use it.

the tv is working now fine now, i took out the belts so the costumer canot use the VCR , besides the VCR did not work before, bad head,for what i could understand is when i loaded and ejected the tape it was when caused the carraige take up mecanism to get stuck to switch off the tv.i'm not good at vcrs, have no patience with mecanisms, i hate this things.thanks Guy.
