TV will not tune into Freeview channels

Hello,
I have just been given a ‘Hannspree xv-s t23b tv’, but I cannot get the tv to tune into any ‘Freeview’ channels, my video plays ok through the tv !
1. did this tv come with a built in ‘Freeview’ box ?
Ive tried connecting a separate ‘Freeview’ box to the tv but the tv still does not tune into any ‘Freeview’ channels.
Ive no remote control and no users manual, but im keen for the tv not to end up in a skip !!..
