Time Warner - RCA Problem Can't Post

In my bedroom, my cable runs from my wall to a splitter that then supplies cable to my cable modem and my RCA television.
Last night, while watching TV, all the channel got fuzzy and the began to show me a scrambled version of the Cartoon Network. I switched through a number of channels and this was the case on all of them. I turned the TV on and off, unplugged it and plugged it back in, and swapped around the cables going to and from the splitter. After toying with it, every now and then it would straighten back out and show me the correct channels, only to scramble up again and go back to the scrambled Cartoon Network.
Does anyone have any advice for me?
Thank you in advance,
KW

you did not quote model # but rca is noted for loose connections in the tuner area, and this sounds like your porblem.

I agree with zip, RCA sets seem to have a lot of problems with cold solder in the tuner /this is not something you would want to attempt to repair yourself.
Are you using any type of digital box, cable box etc. if you are you cold check to see if your TV has RCA video input jacks. You could use those instead of going through the tuner. You would have to use a set of RCA cables instead of the coax cable. You would also have to select the video input from your menu (example: Video 1, Video 2 etc.) This would eliminate the tuner and save you a costly repair (this bypasses the tuner). -- Dan
