Toshiba CE32C10 Vettical IC location Can't Post

Hiya,

I have a Toshiba CE32C10 that has horizontal white lines on the top 3 inches. They used to go away when the set warmed up, but now the last inch remains. From reading this great forum I am guessing I have a leaking Cap on the vertical IC and will test with cold spray.

I would like to confirm that these horizontal lines are a result of a faulty VERTICAL IC.

Any hints where to find this IC? I can't find a scematic on line.

Feel free to pass on any other suggestions.

The set has poor contrast too, which forces me to turn the brightness to max.

Thanks in advance!

The problem is not the IC but the associated electrolytic capacitors. These are probably numbered in the C300 series such as C305, C306 and C308. The lack of contrast is usually the result of a weak CRT. You may want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
