Toshiba CE35E15 vertical bar ghosting Can't Post

I have a 35" CRT Toshiba (CE35E15). In service mode, all vertical lines in the crossbars and the various crosshatch patterns are indistinct. While the horizontal bars are well defined from top to bottom, with clear transitions from black to white, the vertical bars are wider and slightly blurred from side to side. (It looks like there is a ghosting effect on them.) On either side of every black or white vertical line, for example, is a narrower faint gray line. The effect is similar to image ghosting, but it only occurs in the horizontal plane. If this is an adjustment, I haven't found it. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

This may be a convergence problem. The tabs on the neck of the CRT are used to adjust the convergence but be careful, you could make it worse than it already is
