Hi,

I have a 27" Toshiba CF27E55 and went to turn it off tonight with the remote and heard a click and the power led went off but the picture stayed on. I cycled on / off the remote about 10 times on the remote and the same thing happened each time. then I tried the power button on the set and same happend. I finally got it to go off cycling the power on the remote again let it sit and now it seems ok. I am wondering what could cause this ? should I get it fixed now or wait till it breaks further. I am generally good with electronics so if it could be a relay that unplugs and plugs back in I would just like to change it. I have a very good multi meter if there are points I could check.

Sounds like the AC contacts of the power relay are sticking.
You will have to meter this voltage next time it happens.
It will be a solder-in relay.
