Toshiba CF3062A Horizantal Lines Can't Post

Hi All,

I have a CF3062A Toshiba TV which has 2-3 inch White Retrace lines on the top of the screen. It gets little better once TV warms up or if I use S-Video signal. But it is getting worse everyday.

I am pretty technical, solder, change etc...

Can someone help me with schematics or if already done this before please?

Cheers,

Eric

Replace capacitor C308. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.

I believe that it is 220 mf @ 50 volts. The value should be marked on the can.

Thanks Mel!

But I cannot seem to find the location of the cap. I found the C306-C309 but no 308..Is it electro cap or tantalium? and which board is it located? Main board, or two side boards?

Thanks again!

Eric

Unfortunately, my tech package does not include a grid trace layout but my notes say that C305, C308, and C342 are located in the vicinity of the vertical IC (Q301) on the main board. These are electrolytic caps and I would change all three while you are in there.
