Toshiba CF317's channel trouble Can't Post
I have a huge problem with my older Television (Toshiba CF317), the TV cannot detect any channels between channel 48 and channel 93. When channel surfing, the TV will skip channels 48 to 93. When changing to a channel between these numbers, the TV goes back to 2.

I've tried to adjust the knobs at the back of the TV, found that there is a switch that changes to CATV and other options. When switching to different settings on the knobs, I can surf the in-between channels just fine, but the TV is unable to detect my cable.

When attempting to add these channels back onto the TV using the remote, the TV just goes back to channel two, disregarding any request for addition.

Is there a way I can get these channels back AND have cable to them?

if you have a vcr run rca leads from audio video out to a/v in plugs on tv

Not sure if I fully understand.

How will connecting a VCR onto the TV be able to change the channel?

all vcr's have a built in tuner use it instead of tv tuner

Ok, I've connected the VCR (A Sony SLV-690HF) through the rca cables into an rf converter into the cable of the TV.

Unfortunately, turning on the power of the VCR reveals nothing but a blue screen. When changing channels every single channel is a blue screen. Am I missing something essential here?
