Toshiba CZ19M21 remote control module not working

Hi people, cheers from Costa Rica.
I have a toshiba tv, it's 9 years old, and starting 4 months ago, the remote control stopped working, I thought it was the remote control, however I have a universal remote and that didn't worked either, furthermore, I've set up my palm to learn the keys of that original toshiba remote control.
so I'm sure the problem is on the TV, I mean, the tv is functioning properly, the power and the rest of the buttons are ok, but the infrared sensor or the processing module seems to be damaged.
so, I'm wondering if there's some one here familiar with this issue, or any tips that I can use, I've already open the tv, cleaned out the circuit board, checked the soldering joints of the sensor, and they seem to be fine.
also, I would like (if possible) to have the service (maintenance) manual so I can check all the devices involved in the IR system of that TV.
on more thing that I've noticed is that it fails the most when the weather is cold and rainy, somehow seems to be that the humidity may cause this issue. but I would like to hear the opinions and advice from the experts.
