Toshiba screen color problem on vertical edges

Hi! This is my first post here! 
I have a Toshiba CN27V71 Cinema Series television that we have had for a few years. The colors are distorted on approx. 2" of the vertical edges of the screen. Hues of pure color of greens, reds, blues, yellows appear all the time. The colors change as the image changes. I have no idea where it came from and tried various color settings which does nothing to correct the problem.
