I have read where it is said"many tuners use multiple supply voltage". Someone please explain!!.

3.3 - 5 volts = prescaler (older)
9 - 12 volts = B-Plus to tuner
~30 volts = For tuning voltage

Most have clock and data terminals (and sometimes enable) too.
