Underscan. Do I risk burn in? Can't Post

Hi,
When playing PS2 on my 4:3 CRT tv there are black bars on the left and right. Can this cause burn in?
Thanks!

you can GET burn marks on crt and projection but not in this case as they are black bars and not bright.if you could get burn marks from black bars you would have a lot of tvs with burn marks at the top and bottom from watching widescreen films
