Update on arcing Sony KP-43T70

After getting an estimate for $775 to fix 3 leaking picture tubes on my 43" Sony, I just decided to take the tv apart myself and look into it further. Upon removal of the screen, I found the source of the arcing to be coming from the large red wire with the "suction cup" coming out of one of the picture tube guns. When I turn the tv on, I could see a blue colored light coming from underneath the suction cup and it makes a hissing/squeeling sound. There are a couple of pin holes in the suction cup where it arcs out of every few seconds or so. This tv is only 3 years old and I peeled back the suction cup to look at the connection on the red wire and I don't see any dirt or grime in there at all. Is the picture tube coolant up inside where the connector for the red wire is....could it be leaking internally onto the connection inside? Somebody help me with this, I'm so close to knowing the fate of my tv. Thanks
