Vertical line on LG 50PC5D Plasma50" Can't Post
1/3 way through the screen there is a thin vertical line that goes all the way from the top,to the bottom of the screen.
This is very annoying while watching the tv.
I tried going into settings;unplugging the set,while pressing in the on/off button for 25 seconds,all with no results.
I'm wondering if watching Netflix movies from my laptop connected to the tv via an HDMI cord could have anything to do with my problem.
I have a cable DVR box & high definition antenna also connected to the tv.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.

change the picture ratio to 4:3, if the line stays in the same place then the screen is faulty and the tv is history.

I reduced "color" to "33" from the middle point of "50" with the result of the line being less prominent.
In the manual,under troubleshooting it notes this problem of "the vertical line" as also being a problem in "PC mode".Then it goes on to advise:Work the Auto configure or adjust clock,phase,or H/V position (Option).
I cannot find H/V in the "Option" part of the LG's menu.
This problem has occurred after my connecting my PC not to the "PC input",but to the "HDMI 2 input" while watching Netflix movies.
I've heard that there is special equipment that techs use to make adjustments to plasmas & LED's.
Would that be of any help?
The line was still there after I changed the picture ratio to 4:3.
Does any of this info make any difference to your diagnosis?

you did not say if the line moved to a different place or not when in 4;3 mode

No.The line did not move.
It stayed in the same place,
But by decreasing "color" the line became fainter in color.

probably faulty screen. to be sure you should get a local tech to look at it.
