Vertical lines on screen after disassembly

Hi everyone, first time post. I took my TV/DVD flatscreen apart because of noise from the DVD player (yeah old school I know!). I wanted to try and get any dust/debris out of there. I did this successfully but now half the screen is obscured by vertical lines. Is there a chance there's just a loose connection somewhere or have I just broken the screen? I wasn't aware of causing any hard knocks to it whilst working on it so it's v odd!
All advice much appreciated, thanks
