Viore Plasma 42 inch strange pic problem Can't Post
My 42 inch Viore plasma has transparent flashing sections of the pic after it has been on an hour. These flashes wash out the picture and I can see what looks like another channel behind the pic. Last for an hour or so and then pic is fine. I'm on digital cable and all connections are good. I even disconnected digital cable and hooked up a normal cable line that I knew was good. The flashes are always in or on the brightest [part of the picture depending on scene being watched. Strange but true!!! Help please,

Would say you require a new tuner panel. I dont know the set but suspect you have two tuners for PIP, if you can watch two pictures at one time that will be it. It then seems the TV is letting the other picture leak on top of the main picture. This is a complex fix, you will need a board or boards so look for an agent to fix it for you.

You are right..there are two tuners and it has PIP. I will try using the PIP when this problem is apparent and see if it is the same in both pictures or if it goes away while using PIP. Thx 4 the advice and I will report what happens with my experiment. Is the tuner panel a replaceable board??

Again thanks for taking the time to help. I tried the PIP and I don't believe the problem is the tuner, but what do I know, I'm on here asking for advice. The flashing and washing out of the picture seems to be showing a picture behind the picture but it is the same picture all the time. I looked closely and its the cable TV Guide page that is always showing through. I had the HD DVD player and the TV on side by side on PIP and the tv pic was washing out just as it always does (for an hour or so) while the DVD pic was perfect. No more plasmas 4 me!!! Help.

as they say we never masterd new technology! get a tube tv it will last you awhile, i have a 19" 1984 jcpenny tv that still works!
