Vizio M43-C1 No Picture or Sound

I turned it on and for a few seconds I had some sound, but no picture. After a few seconds I lost the sound.
I've tried all the resetting techniques, unplugging, holding the power button at the same time as the remote, all that. Still, nothing.
All indications point to the power board.
I know almost zero when it comes to this type of repairs.
Can anyone suggest where to start?
I realize its not the greatest tv, I just thought I'd try to bring it back to life if possible. It would make a good addition in my shop area.
The "power indicator" light in the front will come on when you first turn it on, then it starts blinking. Sometimes 12 flashes, sometimes 24 or anything in between.
