i have the chance to buy this tv for next to nothing.
about a month ago the picture started to get real wide, so you couldn't see the ends of the picture, occasionally it would go black with a verticle (if i remember right) line thru it....turning it off for awhile fixed the problem a few times, but now it just stays wide.
a repairman came out and looked at it and said there was a bad circuit board...didn't say what, but it would cost like 300 bucks to fix. Is this something i could replace myself...i am somewhat competent with electronics, although i have no knowledge of tv repair...
if its as simple as swapping out a part i could do it....any ideas?
are there any online repair manuals, or flow charts to follow for this sort of thing?
any help would be greatly appreciated....
