Zenith 50" Plasma Can't Post
It pulsates when I first turn it on and last for about an hour then goes normal, also have 1" wide black line that comes from the top in center about 14" long this comes and goes.

when i say pulses i mean it flickers from black to picture slowly at first but speeds up over time, when it first started happening it took only 15 minutes to become normal now it takes several hours before it's normal. You can watch it this way but it is annoying. It does not affect the sound.

What he means is: Which Zenith 50" Plasma?

LG sold quite a few different models, then stopped using the Zenith name, and now has begun to sell them again.

The new Zenith use the same part numbers as the LG counter part. The older ones used different PN's just to make my life difficult.

You still have to get the entire product code though,,,my eyes are getting too old to read that little freaking writing.

I am not familiar with that model specifically. Haven't touched one in at least 5 years.

So, on to Plasma basics. Check the Power supply output to the Y-sustain. See if the voltages are pulsing. If they are, disconnect the Y and read the output without load. If the pulse goes away, then check for something shorted on the Y sustain.
