image shrinking from bottom - easy one for y'all RCA P52926 52in rear proj. Can't Post

RCA P52926 52 in. Rear Projection Television
Hi, this one should hopefuly be an easy one for y'all, My girlfriend liked to keep the TV on all day for her dog. One day about 8 months ago I returned from work and noticed that the image had started shrinking from the bottom about 1 inch. I turned the TV off, went to grab a couple of things and when I came back and turned it back on the image was regular size. Since then it has gotten progressively worse. the longer the TV is on the more it shrinks and now it takes longer for the image to return to normal size when i let it cool down - i know it is related somewhat to heat because i turned the AC down to 62 degrees and the image shrunk less and slower then when i turned the AC up to 78. When it was 78 it shrunk the 52" view down to about 2/3rds it size in 45 minutes

I got rid of the girlfriend and I sure would like to have my largescreen back

and thanks in advance for any assistance anyone offers up

(girlfriend dumping and TV shrinking are unrelated) (at least thats what I told herWink)

you could try resoldering the vertical scan ic and changing electrolytic capacitors near it, as they have probably dried out due to the heat over the years. cant give you the position numbers as i have no manual but the ic should be on a heatsink on the deflection board, usually vertically mounted and with 5-9 legs (unlike girlfriend)
