hi all.
this is my 1st post and hopefully someone can shed some light on my problem.
The TV is a 68cm Phillips flatscreen , model 26PT6361. Is about 4 years old with not a lot of use.
Problem is that the tv won't respond to the remote control. First i thought it was the remote itself, i fitted new batteries. Then we realized not only did the tv not respond to the remote but also the controls on the top of the tv itself would not respond.
We turn the tv off, then on again (not via remote as it does nothing - using the off/on switch on the tv), which then allows the remote to work, for only a short time, then nothing again. It seems like the tv resets itself when switched off. Once turned on again and it is responding, if the remote is used to change volume for eg, the volume bar comes on the screen showing the movement of the volume setting but then when response ceases, the bar stays on the screen... turn the tv off and on and we have response again. Sometimes it will work all night, then it doesn't. Though it is getting worse and much more frequent
help anyone?
