I have Daewoo 25" TV which is around 5 years old. Till last night everything was fine and today It shows only 3 colors in circular form, Inner circle of green then red and outer one of blue color. Picture and sound seems to be fine only the color is distorted.

Any idea if this can be repaired easily or it is a problem of picture tube which would imply shopping for new TV:(

has it been dropped ? sounds like slipped shadow mask in picture tube

No it was not dropped. Night before it was working fine when swithed it off and morning when turned it on it had only 3 colors.

For past one week on the bottom right corner there was green patch of around 2 inches.

slipped shadow mask in picture tube - can it be fixed? or picture tube's life is over?

try demagnetizing picture tube if you can borrow a degaussing coil. if its the shadow mask you would have to replace picture tube. could need degaussing thermistor resoldered or replaced
