This has a blown fuse in plug and there was a intermittent burning smell room may be related or not.

check for a burnt disc capacitor near the flyback transformer (usually blue colour)

hi chris

cleaned off dirt and dust no sign yet of burnt disc cap will keep looking. Replaced large blue bulging electrolytic 220u 385v with 220u 400v one.

Tv now turns on to standby( red led on front next on/off switch ).When channel selected green led lit but no sound or picture.Any more pointers ?
