pip bypass instructions needed please Can't Post

I have a cs-35401c mitsubishi tv and have the rolling pic. Please send me instructions for the bypass of the pip.Can I safely plug in the caps to the pip conector after I unplug the tv or do I need to drain the voltage still in the tv somehow?

Thanks

Remove the VP plug from the PiP module. Install a .01 mfd cap between pins 7 and 9. Install a 4.7 mfd 50v cap between pins 5 and 11 with the pos lead to pin 5. There is no need to bleed any voltages for this procedure.

Thanks alot mel.One other question:There is a brown wire soldered to the pip board-I have to desolder it to remove the pip board right?(I can do this safely as long as I dont touch the pic tube I presume)And then what do I do with it.Some info I saw said just tape the end with electricians tape and leave it and another one said to stick it in pin 2 or 4 of the socket(which is a ground pin for the socket they said).

It is just a ground wire so you don't really need to worry about it one way or the other.

It works!!!I did the bypass using 2 47uf 63V electrolytic caps.I mistakenly got them instead of the 4.7uf 35V.Will this matter in the long term or should I change them to 4.7uf 35V? I used the TV for about 30 minutes and all looked good playing a dvd.

If it works with those values, it should do no harm to leave it that way.
