Thanks for the tip on that website. Like magic it appeared! Now that I've got that i should be good to go.
Your right logic would say I need the same stuff. I have a feeling my power supply board is also an issue. Nothing visualy wrong but I checked the voltages on several spots and they don't match what the sticker on the inside says. I will be sure to post back once I dig a little into the service manual though. Thanks again for the quick response.

Upfront I need to tell you that I do not work on LED , LCD or Plasma TVs..

That said...

Some of those voltages may match when the power supply is turned on by the main board....
Logic tells me that the main board turns on the power supply...
Just some more deducing ....

IF you are NOT getting "PS on and VS on" (<< I'm guessing those come from the main board) could explain why you are not matching some of the other voltages...

Thanks Ron,
The service manual has me check just the Va and Vs which seem to be good when everything else is pluged in but the voltage fluctuates when the power tries to cycle. Im going to take the first step and get a new main av board and see where that takes me. Anyone know the best place I can get one of these other than shelling out $200 from samsung parts? Can't seem to find any on ebay at the moment. Part number is BN94-01658A.

Not much luck Googling that part number...
Either they're out of stock or they want $200 or more for the board...
You might want to PM gajohnboy & ask him where he got his board & how much he paid for it...

Ran across some websites that had possible subs for that board , but I'm VERY leary of going down that road & wouldn't recommend it...

Hello Steve, No problem at all helping you through this as I know it can be frustrating. The service manual is on my home desktop computer, I am at work right now but I can email it to you when I get home. As for your symptoms, the first thing you want to check is for bulged capacitors on the power board. Any capacitor with a round top is no good. If that's not the case, what I did was unplugged everything from the power board itself and plugged in the components one at a time. My tv only did the clicking with the main board connected. (it's at the bottom left, the board with the tv cable imput/hdmi slots and such. Anyways thats a few things to try before I give you the service manual. If you are weary of opening the case or havent found a diagram to which board is which, I'd suggest you wait for me to give you the service manual. I will be in late tonight so it may not be til tomorrow. Sorry for the wall of text.

I'm sorry I didn't see the next page of posts before I replied. As far as replacement, I used ebay (I made sure had a positive feedback and all of them were dealing with tv parts) and was able to get the part for $81.99, his description said: SAMSUNG BN94-01658E BN97-02037B MAIN AV PN50A550S1FXZA. Anyways - I got it and it fired right up. Also, it's nice to try to find a seller that accepts returns (in case it isn't the problem).
