rca 27" losing true colour in circular pattern

Yes could someone here tell me whats up with this rca 27 inch set....it's approximately 8 years old and all of a sudden normal colours that should be appearing on the screen have suddenly shifted to mostly green and purple. The on screen #'s which are normally blue are now appearing to be yellow. The outside 4 corners of the screen do not seem to be affected as badly as the centre of the screen as the affected area is circular in shape. Is this tube gone or can i try to reset picture controls from the back of the set????Is there any hope in repairing this eithout incurring a high repair bill???
