Which one blew, Tom - that small blue poly capacitor? That seems unusual to me - usually it's the large cylindrical electrolytic ones that leak and then blow. Well done for finding a replacement - I presume the value was clearly printed? Anyhoo, what you really want to know is if you should replace any other components! The answer is I dunno... It's quite possible that another component is failing and this caused this cap to blow, but it's equally likely that the cap was always vulnerable and finally gave in with no external cause. Since they are cheap, I would simply replace the cap alone and see what happens. :-)
