sanyo sat for year and a half in storrage and won't work Can't Post

i have a five year old Sanyo 36 inch tv that sat in an un-climate controlled storage building for a year and a half and when i plugged it in it wouldn't come on. the little light that indicates that the tv is on kinda comes on but nothing else. any ideas on what the problem may be

If it got extremenly hot in the uncontrolled environment storage area, you probably have one or more dried out electrolytic capacitors. Since you do not list a model number, it is hard to be specific but I would start with the large filter cap in the power supply (probably a circa 470/680 mfd 200 volt cap listed C000?. Look for signs of leakage around the base of the electros and change those that show signs of leakage.or a bulged top. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for tis set with a little effort on your part
