Smile this tv seems to be stuck in menu mode and it is bowing or hourglassing on both side ,starting at both top corners and extending down about 3 inches. help BRYAN

the bowing can be caused by burnt out circuts that that prevent tv picture distorsion, check all of the motherboards for burnt out capacitors and risistors, they would be easy to spot cause there should be a burnt mark on the motherboard where the circuts blew

There is no problem in this TV set that you will find, no burnt bits, no whatever. Your problem is software. N. ow I dont know your TV so I will give you 2 choices which are the same thing. You have a faulty EEprom or it is set incorrectly. Now this can be an 8 pin chip set next to your micro or painter chip or it may be built in. Now you have the issue of changing that, then resetting it to the setting the manufacturer specifies. So you need to find codes to access factory mode and more codes to set the thing up.
