Q601 and Q602 are 2SC4834N. R607 is a .1 ohm fusible resistor. Q591 (2SC4927) is probably bad too.

SmileDon't forget to resolder the whole board, specially horiz.oscillator coil!

If you don't do this, parts will go shorted again.

R607 usually blows as the result of Q601 and/or Q602 being shorted. Q601/2 usually fail as the result of Q502 shorting out. You also need to check all of the diodes associated with Q601/2.

Probably. I'm working off of the schematic that my conversion chart says is the same chassis. To be sure, I'd go to www.samswebsite.com and download Efact #4478. The three transistors in question are the converters in the power supply and the horizontal output transistor.

Sony flybacks are usually pretty reliable so I don't think that is part of your problem.

Re: [bec137] sony kv35s42 dead [In reply to] Can't Post

The continuous blink along with the other symptoms indicates that the the data bus is probably shorted to ground. Check your work to make sure that you didn't form any solder bridges between circuits. Otherwise, the problem is probably so complex that you will need professionial hand on help.
