chirath;....

Thanks for the info....& reply....

We must both have the SAME service manual for me to continue....
On the first page of your service manual , it will give the chassis number...
The manual I downloaded is for a KV-2170m3 , GP-1A chassis which has the same chassis as the KV-2193m3...
THe model number you just gave (KV-2197m3) has a BG-1S chassis...
A KV-2199m5t has a BG-2S chassis....
Need to know which chassis you have....EXACTLY....Post chassis number...

Quote
if i disconnect all 3 guns.....HOW are you doing this ??? de-solder 6.8k resistors which is gose to KB,KR and KG

MY manual does NOT have 6.8k resistors on the CRT module...(Different manual/chassis ???)

In the meantime....
Remove the CRT module from the CRT...
IF your CRT socket IS the SAME as mine;=>....
With everything connected (Includes resistors you disconnected , etc) & restored to original condition ,turn the TV on.....
Read the voltage at pins # 9 (Should be KB) , 10 (Should be KG) & 11 (Should be KR) AT the CRT socket !!!....
Post readings....

Quote
yes i have read some article so i thing the filamanet and KG short inside

That's what I'm trying to find out...
From what you posted & the way you said it , I'm not sure that's your problem...

Doesn't work that way....
I ask the questions & YOU give ME answers...
Once again....For the LAST time;=>...
""Need to know which chassis you have....EXACTLY....Post chassis number..."""
NOT that hard of a question....
Just open up the manual you have , READ the chassis number & POST it here....
What's the big secret ????

IF you took those readings EXACTLY as I asked , GOOD NEWS !!!!

We about done playing games here ????

KV-2170m3 & KV-2193m3 BOTH have the GP-1A chassis....
KV-2197m3 & KV-2199m5 do NOT have the GP-1A chassis & it IS different....
Circuitry & parts ARE different...
IF you want ACCURATE help & answers to YOUR problem , you MUST give me HONEST & ACCURATE answers to ALL my questions...

That is not a "chassis" picture... It is a picture of a TV set , model unknown...

When you go there , look on the white label on the back cover for the EXACT MODEL number....
IF there IS a chassis number on the label , get that number also...POST ALL info here....

Get a good nights rest & we'll see you tommorrow.....

Do NOT send OR post pictures ....
I did NOT ask for pictures....
Pictures will NOT help....
I NEED the EXACT model number...
That can be found on a label on the back cover....
If there is NO chassis number on the label , do not worry about it....
Post the CORRECT MODEL number (KV-xxxx) as it is printed on the label....

THANKS....Sly....

Re: [chirath] sony kv 2197 m3 [In reply to] Can't Post

chirath;....

THANKS for getting that model number....

OK , I found 2 service manuals....
But , one is for KV-2197M5T & NOT M3 & has a BG1S chassis.....
Also , there are NO schematics in that manual...
However the manual for KV-2199M5T has a BG-2S chassis & has your 6.8k CRT resistor....
Also shows it for a KV-2197....
So , I'll use that one...

Ready,set,GO....

On the CRT (Picture tube) module you have connector CN701 (4 pins) , connector CN703 (6 pins) & a connector CN704 with a single wire that goes to the CRT Dag...
With EVERYTHING hooked up as original (ALL resistors soldered in where they belong , etc) , unplug connector CN703...
Turn on the TV & read the voltages on the CRT socket , pins #8 (KB) , #9 (KG) & #10 (KR)....
Post readings.....

THANKS again....Sly....

chirath;.....

OK....THANKS...
Next step;....
On the connector you disconnected (CN703) you have 6 pins...
Look on the CRT module where CN703 goes & identify pin #1...
With the TV on , take dc voltage readings from pin #4 , #5 & #6 ON the connector...
Post readings...

Quote
Can you please tell me all the parts and voltages that you required.

I can not give you a step by step proceedure in this case because each step determines which direction we have to go....
If you are talking about the bad parts , I'm not yet certain as to which parts are bad...
We/you are working to find out which part(s) are bad...
As soon as I determine what parts are bad I WILL tell you...

Thanks....Sly....

NO , we did NOT !!!!
You read the voltages ON the CRT SOCKET !!!
I want readings FROM the CONNECTOR !!!
ON
CN703 , NOT the CRT SOCKET !!!
The pin numbers ARE different , the location IS different...
WHAT part of the English language do you NOT understand...
I gave you DETAILED instructions to follow...

This is what I asked for;=>.....

Quote
Next step;....
On the connector you disconnected (CN703) you have 6 pins...
Look on the CRT module where CN703 goes & identify pin #1...
With the TV on , take dc voltage readings from pin #4 , #5 & #6 ON the connector...

Where does it say read voltages from the CRT socket there ???
The CRT socket number pins were pins #8 , 9 & 10...
The connector numbers are #4 , 5 & 6...
How could you possibly get them confused ???

This IS post #20 & we STILL do NOT have an answer yet...
You dance around the model number , the chassis number & now you can NOT follow simple instructions...
This is a problem that requires a few simple tests to reach a conclusion...
You do NOT have the ability to fix this TV...
Find somebody else to mess with OR do the right thing & take the TV to a repair shop & get an estimate...
I'm done fooling around....
BYE....

Have a nice day.....

Ron,
Please understand i have started this TV and electronic stuff 18 years ago.I know the issue. the KG Gun voltage drop .think short in side the tube. so the all the tests i have done already.i'm unable to do them again and again.because i have given this TV to my freind 30Km far away of my home. i cannot bring and test coz he is watching this.
thats why i asked you send me the all the required tests that you requred and weekend i'll go ,test and send you feed back
if you are asking me to check the voltages KB,KG,KR just tell me how meny DC voltages it should be. also . it dose not have chassy number . what do want me to say. i have asked you to send pictures and you said you do not want them.
I'm bulshiting you.
