tint adjustment Can't Post

I have an rca model num.x20103sg, chassis num. ctc175a2. I'm not able to notice any adjustments on the tint and the picture has pink where the white should be and to get the horizontal lines out of the screen, I have to make the picture so dark that it is hard to see. I checked the voltage at the crt pins and they are all there. Is the crt itself bad?

Re: [v8s10350] tint adjustment [In reply to] Can't Post

The pink tint may just be the result of aging of the CRT which can be corrected by adjusting the bias and drive voltages thru the service menu. If you like, I can Email the instructions to you for this function. You may be able to eliminate the retrace lines by just turning down the screen voltage at the flyback transformer; it is the bottom knob. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an oportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
