vertical deflection_Zenith Can't Post

I have an old Zenith model SD2743G that starts up ok but after a minute or so the picture becomes a single white line rt. to lft. Forum replies have indicated that I need to replace the vertical ic and associated caps. I need help locating this ic. Which module? Sweep module? A part number would be extremely helpful.

Am I asking too much?

The vertical IC is IC2100 which is attached to the "H" shaped heat sync on the main board. Since you do have momentary vertical sweep, Shadetree is probably right about a bad solder joint rather than a bad component. If indeed you do need to replace the IC, it crosses to an NTE1788. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
