vizio xvt473sv mainboard problem Can't Post

So I have 2 xvt473sv vizio 47inch led tv's. 1 tv works fine and 1 you can turn on see backlight but no display at all. I took all parts out of the working one 1 by 1 and plugged into the broken on and realized the mainboard seems to be the culprit = 3647-0312-0395 / 3647-0312-0150. As per some sites it seems the caps on these boards are the major issue. I can't really tell if the caps are bad because they are not bulging per say and definitely not leaking. I can purchase a new mainboard for approx 150$ but I would like to see if anyone can point me in the direction of possibly testing this board. Maybe I can just service this board myself? I can't tell if the caps just need to be replaced but if they do I can't even tell what caps to order if anyone might be able to help me in anyway? Thank you.

Re: [indnracn2] vizio xvt473sv mainboard problem [In reply to] Can't Post

   Hello indnracn2...
That problem doesn't necessarily belong to a bulged or leaking capacitor. It semms to be issued by no operating voltage at the display driver board. Have you done measures on that board?
Close to the lvds connector (on display board) you can find a smd type print fuse. Is there a 5V or 3,3V voltage present? If not check the fuse.
When the fuse is ok - 5V Source is not revealed on digital board.
Mostly caused by a no more switching mosfet. Follow the tracks of the pcb from the lvds (display connection to mainboard) connector on the main board to it's main processor. Somewhere in between those lines is the location of the "on/off mosfet" for the t-con (display driver) voltage. It's a smd type with 8 leads.
When the set is on, check for voltage on it's source pin/gate pin and drain pin (voltage output to lcd driver). If gate voltage and source voltage is ok but no drain voltage - Replace the mosfet.
good luck

hello just curious if you can help me figure this out. I did check your suggestions. I don't have a cap meter so I for sure can't tell if the caps are bad. I checked the fuses for continuity which was good (still need to check voltage but figured since there is cont. voltages hould be ok) however I can't figure out the mosfet part. Just wondering if you might be so kind and spare me some time and check the board below and maybe help me figure out where the mosfet you are referring to for some reason I could not find it? thank you.
