zenith blowing resistors Can't Post

Have a 50" zenith that had a bad focus block and hv splitter. when i changed that out, the tv worked, but i found that i have a really bad convergance problem, and also the inabilty to adjust it with the user menu. the lines will nto adjust at all in the user convergance setup. I removed the convergance board and found that the four 1 ohm resistors had completely blown. I changed the resistors, turned it on, and watched the four resistors smoke themselves again. My question is; what all can cause these for resistors to blow?? Should i just change the stk ic's on the convergance board, or should i try some other testing first?? Any help is appreciated.--thanks again

addition:: i have changed the stk's, and still have the same problem. pincushion top and bottom, and burning 1 ohm resistors---please shed some light on this--THANKS
