Hot-Press Ribbon Cable Repair Can't Post

Is there a method to repair a flexible hot-press ribbon cable?
The ribbon cable is bonded to two individual printed circuit boards.
There appears to be corrosion on some of the PCB pins beneath the ribbon cable with consequent loss of continuity.
Is it possible to remove the ribbon cable without destroying it and clean out the corrosion? If so, what is the technique to remove the cable and corrosion and bond the ribbon cable back to the boards?
Thanks for any help

Press ribbons has plastic and can be pulled up towards from the side. you can brush off the corrosion gradually and by pinching the remaining residues with needle, u can apply wet solutions for cleaning laser lens (works best with common sense!) repeat the process till it's completely off. Although, it would be clean u may have to resolder those pins beneath.

If that doesn't work and there's enough room to solder, I would simply jumper the connection with a piece of wire. No one will ever know :-)
