JVC HR-DX62U Problem Using Remote	Can't Post

I have a JVC HR-DX62U VCR that doesnt seem to work with remote when turned on. The remote turns it on with one press of the button on remote, but after on vcr wont work with remote unless you hold remote button then the vcr will get the remote signal after it been repeatedly sent . I tryed 3 different remotes and all get the same results.

Thanks for any ideas of what it could be

probably faulty sensor on VCR or low 5volts supply going to it.

It worked with no problem before, it just started remote problem this week and also i forgot to says that the display is always going bright and dim if that give you a better idea. Thanks for your Help techchris

Perhaps it's time to change your remote batteries. just a thought!!!!

you need to check voltage supplies from the power board to the front board.chances are one or more is low.I dont have a manual for this so cant tell you any more.

Thanks Guy, I think i found the problem on the power supply board a leaking capacitor. I have to see about ordering one from mcmelectronics or find one on a electronic i through away.
