Loads tape, plays, power shuts down Can't Post
The Sylvania DVC841GC combo will start to play tape, shut down power, randomly makes a loud clattering noise in the area of loading gears, it will do this randomly when just plugged in & left alone. It accepts & ejects tape smoothly with no problem. When I turn power back on the tape ejects.

Most likely Funai made. Clean the optics and mode switch (if electromechanical).
