Matsui VCR clock setting

 I have a Matsui VP9501 vcr, old but still gives very good service. When the time changed for British Summer time, the clock on my vcr didn't change. I reset it using the menu - clock set facility, but the new time I've entered only stays for an hour or so, then reverts to the previous setting. I've tried resetting with the autoscan, but the time shown is still an hour behind.
Can anyone help, please?
