NEC N9083MD Can't Post
The VCR is loading the cassette, when activating PLAY, the Supply Roller Guide and the Takeup Roller guide, takes the tape in front as default but then they both return back without taking the tape back. It no longer plays. Rewind and Forward gives the same action. Here are pictures of the model:





I cleaned everywhere the tape touches with alcohol.

maybe the mode switch under the mech needs cleaning or possibly the spools are not turning.does it rewind or fast forward?if not then there may be a broken belt underneath or the brakes are stuck on.

How do i check the brakes? I gonna lift the whole system to view the belts below. Is there any other reasons for the VCR to do this?
