RCA VCR/DVD Player doesn't Power Up Can't Post

Hello, I have a RCA (Brand) 6-Head VCR/DVD Player system that doesn't power up when i press the Power button, this has never happened before or no problems have occured until now, this system has ALWAYS been hooked up to a Surge-Protected Power Strip. Any Solutions?

 Update:
I found a fuse in the DVD/VCR Player, I put a picture of this on Flickr since i don't know how to post them up on here yet (if you can) And please tell me where to find one of these since i can't find them anywhere else :(

T2L 250v Fuse
I'm assuming this is blown b/c i touched the power button and it shocked me before this trouble happened.

"LOOKS" good to me BUT:
Do you have ANY product in your home that uses a standard 9-volt battery?
Turn product (for example a pocket radio) "on." Unplug its battery and replug 90 degrees so only one terminal is plugged in correctly - the other is "floating" - take the fuse and use it to bridge between the two open terminals.
If fuse GOOD = radio plays.
If fuse BAD = radio doesn't play.

Sorry, I don't own a pocket radio, i use radio from sound systems and internet. I'm pretty sure the fuse is bad, that shock happened after a lighting storm. (and this vcr was in the basement, not sure if it was hooked up to the wall or power strip) But that was before i moved this beast up in my room.

The principal applies to ANY AC or DC product that draws LESS than 2 Amps.
If I could think of a "safe" way to do it a small lamp would work - a toaster would not.

Temporarily jump across the fuse terminals with a piece of wire - it probably has more problems than just a blown fuse, as in the case of lightning, that fuse won't blow nearly fast enough to protect anything. But the quick jumper wire will at least tell you if the machine will work with a new fuse. My guess is "probably not, but maybe". If not, throw it in the dumpster, it would be more expensive to fix than buying a new one.
