RGB Split effect with a VCR - Advice needed. Can't Post

Hi I was wondering if anyone on this forum would know how to modify a VCR or an S-Video cable to offset the RGB channels.

I know that VCR’s only have a Chrominance channel, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to get shift the positions of the individual RGB channels that make up this Chrominance channel

I am not doing this to try and get better image quality, I am trying to use a VCR to record a stereotypical VCR look.

Most VCR styled images you see online are very exaggerated when compared to an actual VCR. I have managed to modify a VCR to get most of these “Aesthetics” but I am struggling to get an exaggerated RGB split look.

Here is an example of what I am trying to achieve

If anyone knows a way to possibly achieve this using VCR, I would be very grateful!

I am also doing a YouTube vid on what the effect looks like, I will post it here once I am done.

Thanks, David
