Sylvania VCR Malfunctioning Can't Post
Every time I attempt to use my Sylvania VCR, when I put a tape in and press play, the VCR turns off after a couple seconds. When I attempt to turn the VCR back on and eject the tape, the film isn't properly put back into it's plastic casing and gets caught on the inside of the VCR. Any suggestions on how I could fix this? I'm new to VCR repair and just recently got this one for free from parents who didn't want it anymore.

It has failed due to it's advanced age and lack of maintenance.

To the best of my knowledge, Sylvania never manufactured any VCRs. They sold rebadged units from other manufacturers.

Without more specific Make, ID and/or pictures that's about all I can say.
