National NV-7200 Won't load tapes

I have a national NV-7200 that won't load tapes anymore. It stopped working a few weeks ago and now it will only fast forward and rewind. When it tries to load a tape, it pulls it out around the drum, but when it reaches the fully loaded state, the machine immediately stops and unloads the tape.
