Picked up a Sony SL25 Betamax player on ebay. Seller swore it was playing tapes the day she shipped it. It arrived not working and I thought I had been ripped off but the seller refunded me. The power switch does not seem to work (it does not light up). If I press TV/VTR button nothing will happen, but if I then press power (which seems to do nothing), then the TV/VTR button will light up VTR on the display. I suspect the power supply, I have a bit of experience repairing arcade monitors and logic boards but have never played with a betamax before, so I am a total newbie. Any guidance is appreciated.
