Sony SLV-N50 video cutting out. Can't Post

So I've got a Sony SLV-N50 that has an issue. After being on for about a minute it's picture dims(almost goes to black) and starts rolling. This happens whether it's playing a tape or something in it's antenna input. It will however display a blue screen fine when there is no input. I had also noticed that the machine was moving a little slow with rewinding. Anyone know what the problem might be? I'm trying to save this one because I use it as an RF demodulator and it gives a nice picture for my Famicom. My other VCR's have this weird ghosting that's noticeable when the background is black in games.

Does it do picture dims(almost goes to black) and starts rolling (playing a tape or something in it's antenna input) via SLV-N50's LINE OUT AUDIO R/L/VIDEO Jacks or VHF/UHF OUT Connector or BOTH? If ONLY VHF/UHF OUT Connector (Works fine with SLV-N50's LINE OUT AUDIO R/L/VIDEO Jacks) = Bad RF Modulator

It's currently doing it on the RCA output. I use this VCR as a demodulator for a coax only device to plug into an 80's computer monitor that only has RCA inputs.

What about VHF/UHF connector? Is it also doing it there? If doing it from both, I'd start with Power supplies.

I believe I figured it out. I noticed the problem pop up on my other VCR I had hooked up to replace this one. Turns out it was the monitor, the Commodore 1702 has a switch on the back to go between the Chroma/Luma/Audio input on the back and the RCA input on the front. Apparently when it's not 100% to either side, it causes the video effect.
