Sylvania VCR spins too fast

My VCR was working fine until it now spins extra fast for both record and playback. I opened it and found a loose roller, so I suspect that is the problem. There are about 4 spindles it fits onto so how do I find where it belongs? Also, it is slightly different upside down although it might not matter. It is Sylvania DVC845E. Thanks in advance if you can help.
