VCR Mystery Can't Post
Three VCRs in home. Each began playing sound without picture, only squiggly lines across the screen. Cleaned heads. Didn't help.
Bought new VCR/DVD player. DVD works fine. VCR worked first time it was tried, but then began playing sound without picture like the others. Tried multiple tapes with the same results.
Can anyone solve this mystery for me?

dirty tapes! most people laying around after without putting it back to the case. dust is your problem.

Cleaning the video heads has to be done professionally. you might have damaged all of them when you try to clean them.

One more thing, I have no idea what vcr you have. There are no: of vcr have problem when you use to re-wind tapes as well.
