Hi, All:
New to this forum. Having a couple of problems with my Mitsubishi VCR, model # HS-U510. They're probably related. It stopped accepting tapes and I discovered a broken gear on the cassette carriage. Fine - I was able to glue it and reassemble the carriage. However, the VCR won't stay on long enough for me to test it. Whether the carriage is installed or not the VCR shuts down after 6-7 seconds of powering it on. This is with the top cover on but not the front. Not sure if light has anything to do with it (i.e. tripping a sensor). Does anyone have a suggestion?
